Iris

Common names: iris, netted iris, Dutch iris.
Iris is a genus of flowering plants with showy flowers which takes its name from the Latin word for rainbow, referring to the wide variety of flower colors found among the many species as well as countless garden cultivars.
They are perennial herbs growing from creeping rhizomes (rhizomatous irises), or, in drier climates, from bulbs (bulbous irises).
Flowers open to 1 to 3 inches across. Long, thin, pointed leaves grow from the base of the stem.
Colors include bluish-purple, deep purple, lavender, white and yellow.
Many have yellow markings on the lower part of the petals.
Vase life is two to five days.

Freesia is a genus of flower belonging to the Iris family (Iridaceae).
The flower usually referred to as a freesia is the Common Freesia, Freesia corymbosa, which is native to the Cape of Good Hope.

They have five to 10 single or double flowers and stems are usually 10 to 18 inches long with little or no foliage.
The bell-shaped freesia blooms up to seven days and comes in white, golden yellow, orange, red, pink, mauve, lavender, purple and bicolors.
Vase life ranges from four to 12 days.
